One of the most iconic comic book illustrators Bernie Wrightson has passed away last Saturday after a lengthy fight with brain cancer. He was 68 years old.
The sad news was announced through his Facebook page by his wife Liz Wrightson, and now his official website has been updated with his obituary.
Bernie is probably best known for co-creating the iconic Swamp Thing series, but his impressive career as a comics illustrator has started earlier, back in 1968, with “House of Mystery” issue #179.
